Fan Week Access (Aug. 24–28)

The Chase Lounge opens ahead of the main tournament draw during Fan Week, which runs Aug. 24–28. During these dates, the lounge operates from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Eastern Time and is open to all Chase cardholders on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservation is required; cardholders simply arrive and enter the space subject to capacity. This is the best time for casual lounge exploration, since daily booking windows do not apply.

Main Tournament Operations (Aug. 30 Onward)

Once the main tournament begins on Aug. 30, the Chase Lounge switches to a reservations-only model. During the main draw, the lounge operates from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for daytime sessions and 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for evening sessions. The lounge is accessible for sessions 1–19 and session 21 only; it closes for sessions 20 and 22–27. Each day, reservations for the following day’s sessions are released at 9 a.m. Eastern on the ChaseGetsYouCloser.com website. Given the expected demand, cardholders should plan to book quickly, as availability is anticipated to fill rapidly.

Chase Lounge Amenities

This year, Chase is introducing new beverage offerings exclusive to the lounge. During daytime sessions, matcha lattes and iced blueberry matcha lattes are available; evening sessions feature matcha popsicles. Beyond these new options, the lounge includes light bites, mobile device charging, and live coverage of ongoing matches on screens throughout the space. Air conditioning remains the centerpiece benefit, creating a true refuge from the outdoor heat and crowds.

Chase Terrace as an Alternative

For cardholders unable to secure a lounge reservation, Chase operates the Chase Terrace, an open-air seating area located at the Grandstand with views of Courts 8–10. The terrace includes seats and shade structures and operates on a first-come, first-served basis—no reservation needed. Cardholders must present a valid Chase card for entry. During Fan Week (Aug. 24–28), the terrace is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. During the main tournament, it remains open for sessions 1–18 daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and closes for sessions 19–27. The terrace provides court access and seating without the indoor amenities of the lounge.

American Express Lounge Options

Centurion Lounge for Amex Platinum and Centurion Cardholders

American Express operates the Centurion Lounge exclusively for holders of the American Express Platinum Card and American Express Centurion Card. The lounge is located on the second floor of Louis Armstrong Stadium. Reservations are one hour in duration and bookable on Resy beginning at 9:30 a.m. Eastern each day of the tournament, starting Aug. 30. American Express Platinum cardholders can reserve for themselves and one guest (two people total), while Centurion cardholders can reserve for themselves and up to three guests (four people total). Cardholders should link their card to their Resy account before Aug. 30 to ensure smooth reservation booking.

The Centurion Lounge stands apart from standard tournament food options, featuring dishes prepared by chefs Kwame Onwuachi and Mike Solomonov of the Culinary Collective, along with drinks and seating. The space functions as a full dining and rest venue, allowing guests to cool off and enjoy elevated cuisine between matches without exiting the tournament grounds.

Card Member Lounge for All Amex Cardmembers

American Express also operates a Card Member Lounge on the second level of the Amex Fan Experience for all American Express cardholders (with access for the cardholder plus up to two guests). This lounge provides refreshment and seating without the Michelin-level dining component of the Centurion space. The broader Amex Fan Experience is open to non-cardholders as well, meaning those without an Amex card can still explore the space and enjoy general tournament amenities.

Maximizing Amex Benefits

Beyond lounge access, American Express offers supplementary tournament perks. Cardmembers can obtain an earpiece radio that delivers ESPN broadcast coverage and live U.S. Open updates, enabling continuous tournament engagement while away from screens. Additionally, Amex has activated a targeted promotional offer: cardmembers who spend $100 on qualifying purchases at the U.S. Open (beginning Aug. 30) receive $10 back. Multiple qualifying transactions earn the credit multiple times, making the offer applicable across food purchases, merchandise, and other on-site spending throughout the tournament run.

Booking Strategy and Additional Savings

With lounge popularity expected to drive rapid fills, a proactive reservation approach is essential. Set calendar reminders for the Chase Lounge release at 9 a.m. Eastern and the Amex Centurion Lounge release at 9:30 a.m. Eastern to ensure no release window is missed. For those unable to secure lounge reservations, the Chase Terrace and Amex Card Member Lounge remain accessible without advance booking.

For ticket purchases, Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders should note their second annual StubHub statement credit (up to $150, with activation required through Dec. 31, 2027).
